Republic Day

                                     

       Tomorrow is Jan 26, Republic Day, a day on which we feel some patriotism than any other day of the year. (except Independence Day and Ind vs. Pak cricket match day). It is the date on which Constitution of INDIA came in to existence in 1950. The date 26 January was chosen in the memory of the declaration of Independence of 1930. Every year a grand parade is held in New Delhi. The President of INDIA unfurls the INDIAN national flag on this occasion. Later Ashok chakra and Keerthi chakra awards are given by the President of INDIA.

      In our school days we participated in parade representing our schools. After hosting flags in schools, students from all schools, colleges and police gathered on a ground and sang the national anthem while unfurling the flag. Sweets were distributed after the celebration.

      Hope all remember that a patriotic movie was telecasted on DD-1 channel on that day. I don’t know how many times I have watched ‘’ Roja’’ on DD1 on this occasion.
